is working remote a privilege? it’s in my job description.

My boss has been threatening me with forcing me to work from the office any time there's a dip in my numbers. Yesterday I used paid time off for a few hours before work and when I do that it effects my “in que” time because for it not to, they would have to adjust my schedule for the day, and they just wouldn't do that. On top of that I was having tech issues for a few hours after I clocked In(along with half the rest of the department)The tech issues had nothing to do with being remote. They were server errors and I would have had the same issues in the office. Boss(A) messages me(B) on teams: A) Hey, what happened yesterday? Your out of que time was 48%. This is unacceptable and if it keeps happening you're going to have to start working in the office. B)…

Boss(A) messages me(B) on teams:

A) Hey, what happened yesterday? Your out of que time was 48%. This is unacceptable and if it keeps happening you're going to have to start working in the office.

B) I had a late start yesterday, then had tech issues first thing, remember? So yeah that makes sense.

A)your name came up again in our meeting so what do we need to do to fix this?

B) well there has been no server errors since, so I'd say I've got it under control.

A) 48% is not under control………( you get it)

A few questions.
Since my position has been changed to remote indefinitely, is this something he has the power to hold over my head?
If he does try and tell me I must work in the office, and I refuse, can he fire me rightfully?
