Im starting my first ever career-oriented job in a few weeks here and my friends have been saying a lot of bad things about working with women. Firstly, one friend mentioned how catty they get. They see you’re new and will make you feel small immediately to assert their dominance on you (one women in specific always puts new hires in hot water within the first month of employment).
Second, they’re aggressive in every interaction you have with them, If you don’t understand something and ask they’ll say things like ” haven’t you went through training? If you had paid attention you wouldn’t be slowing the team down!” Absolutely gutter.
Thirdly, they’ll hate you for whatever reason seems justified for themselves. A friend of mine made eye contact with a women whose been working for 5 years as a senior accountant and didn’t say hi. From this day forth, she’s always hated him by behaving passive aggressively or blaming him for inconveniences to try and get him in trouble.
Are my friends just full of it??? I’ve never been so nervous to work with women, let alone those who are well experienced and quickly become distasteful towards men.
