I see now how its so easy for people to “embezzle” money from companies. I just fell into a new role where I can pretty much “hire” who ever I want as a contractor and pay them whatever both I and the contractor see fit. My boss can approve up to a set amount each time and theoretically without any limit assuming the company has the money… They obviously do if the only person I have to go through is my supervisor.
In summary, go into business for your self, make friends with a project manager at a big company with deep pockets and charge them what you think you're worth. Fuck if I didnt have a moral compass and a desire to not deal with any potential blow back I'd submit a vendor under a different alias and start cranking out repair work for pennies on the dollar to my company, while giving my self one hell of a pay raise.
