It seems we should start with Unions again

My guess is we need to bring back unions and start making them strong again. read about the Battle of Blair Mountain. Nearly 100 laborers died in an armed revolt against their coal mine operators, fighting and killing up to 30 of the ani-union Sheriff’s men. Don Chafin, the Sheriff, received “hundreds of thousands of dollars” from coal mining operations to violently suppress the workers. It took the US army to come and finally squash the rebellion, in which 3 soldiers were killed. This was in 1921. 1921. The largest armed uprising in the country since the Civil War, at that time. And it was for labor. No one ever talks about it. No one ever memorializes the laborers. Not even the most radical in Washington. Because no one wants to remind the population what a force laborers can be when they’re organized and armed.
