It’s Employee Appreciation Day at my Company.

Today is employee appreciation day at the company I work at. They are a very large company, nationwide and some branches in other countries. The CEO sent out an email thanking everyone for their work company wide, and all the higher-ups made a video saying thanks. The email stated that we made record profits in the last year, and how we've made shareholders very happy. No mention of bonuses, raises, or anything monetary. I thought the company I work at was different, being that they offer a decent starting wage and full benefits. But the corporate greed is the same.

How will our work environments ever really change for the better? It's absolutely infuriating to know that we're going to be stuck in this rut for the foreseeable future.
