I work as a hostess at a restaurant, I’ve had this job for three weeks. Today one of the servers got in my face and then went on to insult me to guests. I was told by a server I went to for advice that I should hold off speaking to a manager over this cause it could just make her more hostile. I decided to call the manager an hour after I got off because I felt sick over the thought of having to work with her again tomorrow which will ultimately be another very busy day. I told the manager I don’t think I could come in tomorrow or Monday, told him the reason why, and he laughed and told me that’s unacceptable and that I have to come in and we can all sit down and discuss it later. This same server has gotten away with this treatment before and management has done nothing to correct it. I wanted to take Monday and Sunday to think if I want to continue with this job. I get one day off a week and no breaks during 6 hour shifts, and now add on hostile co worker.
