The head of department always makes sexual remarks on me and my colleagues. From what I know, he's in his mid 40s, not married, a heavy smoker whose ego is his number one priority.
Ever since someone told him about my sexual orientation, he would occasionally make remarks about it in front of my colleagues. He would humiliate me by saying things like “Hey do you want to try his d**k?”, then he would laugh like he's proud of what he's done. I would just laugh nervously and decline.
It happened recently again. I retaliate by saying “No, but I want yours”. I thought to myself that it might shut him up. He was left speechless for a bit but then he came back with some very brutal response. He said he'll get a cucumber, lube it with butter, stick it inside me and break off the extra bits. He even said I'll be dead just from that. He asked me to turn around so that he can see my butt because of what I said earlier 'turned him on'. I ignored him like I'm deaf.
Like dude, how desperate are you to humiliate me? Have you no respect? If you have nothing nice to say then shut up. I thought the older you get, the wiser you'd be. Guess that doesn't apply to him. He's like a single child desperate for attention and validation. It's disgustingly pathetic.
I'm not the only victim, he would harass others too. My colleagues tell me to bear it because his behaviour is like that. But how much can a person take before exploding?
You might suggest I resign or report to Human Resource. I can't leave, I just started this job not long ago. I have nowhere else to go if I quit. HR is just as useless as him. He's very close to the general manager so I doubt they'll help me.
