As the title says, I’ve been working remote for over three years, with no raise and no promotion and projects constantly being taken from me after I’ve done all the work. I switched insurances in March due to turning 26, and all of a sudden I can’t get a doctor on my new insurance to sign my ADA paperwork to continue to work remote due to a pre-existing condition related to Covid.
All of a sudden, I’m being told that the doctor either “doesn’t do that here“ or they won’t fax this info to my HR without a in office visit, a referral to a pulmonologist, and a $400 scan done to confirm I’ve had asthma that I’ve had since I was two.
Can anyone help me out here? I’ve called over 20 doctors and no one will help me.
Before anyone asks why I haven’t quit, I’m applying to jobs religiously since I found this out 12 days before ADA was due, and don’t have anything solidified yet. I don’t want to be without a job if I don’t have to, but they fucking screwing me over and I don’t know what to do…
Any advice would be helpful here. I appreciate your time in advance.
