Monday was my last day at Goodwill and all I can say is that it was very shitty! I was a seasonal worker thinking this place might be good, guess what? I have so much to expose about Goodwill and what they don't want you to know. The biggest thing they did to me was that they lied behind my back to me, When I was hired, I was meant to have alternating weekends, like one weekend I'll work while the other I'm off, but nope! That didn't go through! Then I met an Asshole Employee that I am glad they got rid of for another goodwill that's been attacking me for weeks every time I was there.
They also fired 5 people over there and tried to force me to work 5 days which I can't do 5 Days, I can only do 3 Days of work overall, and also Part-Timers beware because Goodwill HATES Part-Timers and will be willing to force you to work Full Time, near 30 Hours! I was ready to snap at them to tell them to make me work 7 Days a week with no breaks!
Also, let's not forget the fact they were completely oblivious as a thrift store and they were trying to turn it into a local free market for their products! Also, their system continues to constantly change, they refuse to even stick to one system every goddamn week! Most of the employees there treated me like I was a piece of shit every time I was there, it was always Me vs. The World every time I was there. They also DON'T do set schedules, and they expect you to work 5 days! It's normal for full-timers, but Part-Timers should avoid this!
If you're looking for a part-time job, DO NOT come to Goodwill! They will lie to you every time about their quote-on-quote “Grand” Experience and will take advantage of your life! I am never going back there, no matter how many times people ask me about it!
