Job forgot to send paperwork about sign on bonus terms and conditions, do I tell them?

So I started a new job last month with a sign on bonus, I’m fully aware most times that you will have to pay it back if you quit after a certain frame, but I looked all over my contract, had family and friends look over my contract, and there’s no terms about paying back my sign on bonus. I learned quickly I was lied to a lot in my interview (didn’t tell me my boss was about to go on maternity leave a few weeks after I start, no training like promised, the way promotions and raises work is far different than explained in the interview, I’m getting compared to other employees who have been there for a year or more, and my boss bites my head off if I ever asked her any questions bc I “should know everything by now” when I’ve only been there a month…

I learned quickly I was lied to a lot in my interview (didn’t tell me my boss was about to go on maternity leave a few weeks after I start, no training like promised, the way promotions and raises work is far different than explained in the interview, I’m getting compared to other employees who have been there for a year or more, and my boss bites my head off if I ever asked her any questions bc I “should know everything by now” when I’ve only been there a month at this point) so I have been considering quitting if I find something else.

I contacted HR about the payback for the sign on bonus and they said you need to pay it back if you quit in less than a year and it’s spelled out in my contract, but there’s absolutely nothing about that in my contract and I think they forgot to send that portion of the paperwork.

Now, my question is do I try and get ahead of this and show them my lack of paperwork? Or do I wait until I possibly quit and deal with it then? I’m afraid if I do it now they’ll try and send me a new contract but I’m also afraid if I wait it’ll get messy. Any advice is appreciated!

TLDR: Company says I’ll have to repay sign on bonus if I quit per my contract terms, but there are no terms in the contract. Asking for advice on if I deal with it now or wait until I potentially quit
