in my first 6 or so months of working at my grocery store job (i've been working there for about 7 now) i used to get up to 22-25 hours a week. guess how many hours a week i get now?
i'd be lucky if i even get 15.
the most amount of hours i get is anywhere from 11-14.50, and i don't understand why. i consider myself a good employee. i have a relatively good attitude most of the time and i always do what i'm asked without any attitude or backtalk, and i honestly also like to think that i've been working harder lately. heck, i know a few people who are surprised i didn't get the service leader position. i used to get a couple 4 hour shifts and most of them being 5.50-6 hour shifts, now, i only get a couple 4 hour shifts and one or two 3.75 hour shifts which are supposed to be reserved for minors.
i think this has been happening for one of two reasons. one of those reasons being they genuinely don't need me anymore and they just want me to quit on my own terms so i won't be able to qualify for unemployment, or, so they can still make work without having to pay me as much. it's fucking ridiculous and if something doesn't change soon i am definitely 100% sure quitting, since that's probably what they want. i applied for the service leader position because my boss said he would give it to me, but he gave it to someone else even though he said he wouldn't. not only are my hours shit now, i also got screwed over.
