Job hopping with incoming recession

What are your thoughts gambling on switching companies right now? I work in a very secure position right now, unless something crazy happens I don't think I would lose my job. I recently had a recruiter contact me and the job is paying much more than I'm currently making, but at a significantly smaller company. I've been reading about people already starting to get laid off, or companies starting hiring freezes again with so much uncertainty in the near future. The economy seems to be fairly strong even though equities are down quite a lot this year. I've only been in the workforce

I've only been in the workforce <5 years so haven't been affected by any economic downturns. I'm leaning towards taking the riskier, higher paying position, but also don't want to lose my house or anything like that. Curious what your opinions/experiences are.
