Not sure if this is the correct subreddit for this, but I needed to rant a little bit. So about a month ago I was let go from my last job. I was told to give my store manager the key and my badge and head home. I complied and was totally agreeable and cooperative. A few days later I contacted the store manager about coming in and picking up my personal belongings from my work locker. She said she would consult her boss the area manager and get back to me. She then proceeded to ask for my address and told me they’d mail me my stuff. (This was June 9th) I was somewhat frustrated, but I gave her my address and continued with my life. Fast forward about 3 weeks later and I still never got my belongings. I contacted my old store manager to complain and she finally gave me a ups tracking code that claimed my stuff arrived June 10th. I had been home every day and never got anything. I had received multiple Amazon packages during those 3 weeks as well. When I told her my stuff never came she didn’t seem to care and stopped responding to me. I got upset and emailed the area manager and the district manager and told them what happened (politely) and requested a resolution. The area manager “J” responded and said he will look into it. At this point I finally thought that this situation might get fixed. He emailed me back and told me that he called ups and they confirmed the package was delivered and he wished me luck finding my items. I emailed him back and pointed out that all I wanted to do was come in and pick up my stuff. He advised my store manager to not let me do that , so it was his direct actions that caused my stuff to get lost. I told them I expected them to file a claim for me. He didn’t even check if they sent it to the correct address or anything. I haven’t had a response in 3 days since I wrote that. I realize they can just keep blaming ups. My locker didn’t have anything valuable -some shoes maybe a few hoodies and misc stuff. It’s not about the value, but it’s the principle of the situation. It’s extremely frustrating and I feel like I’m treated like a piece of trash.
