I'd be curious what everyone's oppinion is on this. I work 9-5 and am required to take an unpaid lunch, we get a choice tho.
- A local restaurant is randomly chosen and we can get one item from there “free”, everyone eats outside quickly and once they're done we have to go back to work unpaid for the rest of the hour (usually about 15 minutes lunch break)
- Or we can have the entire unpaid lunch hour to ourselves if we get our own lunch. (1 hour)
What's your thoughts on this? I get paid $24/hr and the lunch budget is about $15 per person (max). It almost seems worth it to just go out on my own during lunch so I can spend the full hour to myself since I'm basically being paid less. Any ideas on how to benefit out of this? I can't simply order more food cuz they straight up ignore any extras.
