As you can tell I work in a call center environment. I take client calls for a large company and assist in medical claims, usually helping our clients resubmit their claims or finding out why they were denied. It does pay well, and I work from home. So I'm not here to say the job completely sucks.
However, my start time is is 9 am. Meaning that they want me to be able to be logged into all of my work systems (6 total) plus the VPN which takes about 3-4 minutes total time. yet they refuse to let us “clock in” and get paid before the start time, yet we get punished if we aren't fully logged in by the actual start time which is pretty much impossible.
Anyone else ever have a similar situation at their place of employment?
