Good morning all. I was having a quiet morning working from home when my boss decided to ring me up. For the first time since I started, I actually am getting a raise. I was at least expecting it to cover inflation but it was about half the rate. I’m not happy about it but I’m not sad either because I know my worth. We also talked about how since one of my coworkers is leaving, we are going to need to work on figuring out how we redistribute the work until another person can be brought on. The next few weeks I’m sure won’t be pretty but it won’t be anything I can’t get through. I just hope that I can find a new gig soon, I’ve been looking for about 5-6 months and can get through the phone screen but have had only one call in that time period with a hiring manager. I guess it’s all about hope and perseverance right?
