So I've been looking for work recently and today I recieved a voice mail from a company I put in a resume for about a week ago. The rep said that she had read my resume and was very interested in speaking with me. I called them at around 1:40pm and got a hold of the rep. I greet her telling her my name and she instantly seems distracted and unorganized, asking me my name again with in 30 seconds of me saying it the first time. Its a tech job so she asks me my XP and of I have a working car, Yada yada.. She asks if I can start this week if hired. I say yes. Then she says, “We'd like to bring you in for an interview today at 2pm so we can get to know who you are and show you the operations.”
It's 1:45pm and she's asking me to be there in 15m for the interview.
I politely tell her I am not available today and does she have anything for tomorrow or the next day. I'm available for any time to come in. She goes, “No sorry we're full on interviews and won't have anything open until Monday, IF we haven't hired someone by then. I tell her that I'll call her then and hung up.
Biggest red flag I have ever experienced during a first contact while doing an application process I have ever seen. Think I should call Monday and see what they have to offer? I'm thinking it'll be a waste of my time.
