Just fired for asking time off for my divorce

Fired roughly an hour ago immediately after telling my boss I wasnt coming in tomorrow because I have divorce problems that need handling. They're not claiming it's because of this absence and others dating back the last 6 weeks (health reasons) but it's more or less implied. Zero warning, zero negative actions just boom “you're fired”. That being said I'm more than aware of people in the store who have double digit late calls or call outs in a shorter time frame who, not surprisingly, still have their jobs. Do I have the grounds to stand on or am I just screaming into the wind.
