I started working in IKEA in May, I really loved it and especially the people I worked with. The problem was that I wasn't fast enough for the manager, even though I gave my all for this job, and every I came back home had to crash in my bed and sleep to atleast make myself food.
Today the store haven't even opened yet and I'm fired. People I've told so far can't fanthom how calm I am. I was planning of leaving next month already, on the 13th, I even told my other, lower, manager.
It's so weird now, to walk around the store placing items knowing it's my last day here. All the other workers like cashiers all agree with me, that the ammount of work given is impossible to do before lunch (I work 7-12 or 13). They all had to place the items before themselves, so they know about it. I also had to keep the store clean and to clean up the backroom, which is truly impossible in 5 or 6 hours of work.
The bruises and cuts really aren't worth the mininum wage, but it's still quite a shock to me. I wanted to buy this bedding set, but even it doesn't look at nice as before.
