Just got fired because my manager ignores my availability…

So due to my religion, I am not able to work Sundays. So when applying and after applying, I indicated that I cannot work Sundays at any time. This worked perfectly until I got back from a 2 week vacation. After returning, I called my boss to let them know that I could continue my regular hours (mon-sat any time between 7am-10pm) they scheduled my first day back to be Sunday morning. I thought this was simply a mistake, so I just traded shifts with a friend that day and continued working the rest of the week. On that Wednesday, I realized that I was scheduled for the following Sunday as well, confused I go to my manager and remind them that I can’t work Sundays. He apologizes and says he will fix it for future schedules. I thought everything was resolved, BUT NO, the following week I’m scheduled for…

I thought everything was resolved, BUT NO, the following week I’m scheduled for Sunday AGAIN. So I tell my manager that I will not be coming in on Sunday no matter what, and I won’t be trading shifts anymore.

Today is Sunday. I’m scheduled again (of course), I get an angry call at 11:30 asking why I’m not at work, explaining that I am responsible for my shift regardless of if I am available or not.

I feel like I have done everything in my power to be a good employee, I’ve done good problem solving in a way that does not hurt the business or other coworkers.

I am no longer willing to make up the slack for my job not being able to schedule.

I am not going into work today.

I no longer have a job, thanks boss.
