UK Here. Went for an interview today at a company in a local business park. I arrive 15 minutes early, and see there's just a standard foyer with locked doors into where I had to go.
So I attempt their intercom system 3 times, in between I also attempt to both open the door and peek in to grab someone's attention.
By this point it's 15 minutes past the interview time and nobody has came to even see of I'm there…
So I walk.
And I call the recruiter to tell her what happened. At which point she says oh maybe it was a error I'll call them on your behalf and get them to let you inside. I tell her no of they haven't got the decency to fucking look out a DOOR into their literal waiting room, why should I bother. I've literally lost a half days wage just coming here as I had to take holiday time off.
The best part, I get a second call at home by the recruiter and the employer had been on the phone to them, saying they waited and I never showed up. At which point I described their exact office layout, their entry system and where the intercom was located and my recruiter literally kept apologizing and asking if i wanted a second chance with them… fml
