So even when he first called me to schedule the interview I could tell he had a few screws loose. Kept mispronouncing my name the same exact way both over the phone and in-person after I repeatedly corrected him.
So he's looking through my file in front of me, where I can see it, going through the pre-set interview questions that he is just completely ignoring, and just straight up goes
“I'm hiring because I'm terminating people. I'm terminating 2 people and looking to terminate 2 more. They call out sick and don't respond when I text them, and I don't care if you're sick you can still talk.”
The rest of the interview he was going over company policies that I already knew because I worked at Starbucks previously, but after everyone he goes “That is not optional. That is mandatory.” Everything from dress code to putting a smile on your face – and dude's the only one in the entire store not wearing a mask.
I just don't get the disconnect, like 4 of your employees are not showing up don't you think that's because they're unhappy at work? That something's wrong? High turnover rate is always a failure of management, not the employees. But he doesn't care, baristas are disposable to him.
Moreover if he's firing them because they won't respond during approved time off then that's an illegal firing, isn't it?
