Hey, im a minor and just got my first job at 14 as a courtesy checker at a grocery store here where I live. I was told that I would be receiving $10 an hour for my work and that I was mainly hired for my 'diversity' (I'm black). I'm pretty sure the only reason they value my diversity is for a tax break. Am I in the wrong for thinking I deserve more than $10? I mean after all, I'd need to be making $16 an hour to provide even shelter/basic neccesities for myself.
