Just wanted to rant about how much I hate the word “professional”

Pretty much that. When it's used as a noun, not an adjective. When looking for a place to live especially, and whether it's the landlord, or someone looking for a roommate who's looking for a “professional,” or worse bills themselves that way: “20's professional looking for…” Shit makes me gag every time I see it. And I just needed to get that off my chest. Like wtf does that even mean? Even though a plumber is a professional, I'm guessing that's not what they're looking for?
