I'm one of the people affected. Landed in Amsterdam at 6.30 this morning following a 12 hour flight from Thailand to be met with loads of delayed and ultimately cancelled flights.
Flights delayed from coming in as well. Lots of people stranded and information was not very forthcoming. Four hours in a queue before KLM told us when our next flight is scheduled.
Because of this were stranded in Amsterdam. KLM filled out their hotels accommodating passengers before handing out pages stating that they would reimburse us (within reason) for airport transport, hotels and meals.
So thanks to these striking workers my wife and I have a day and a bit in Amsterdam on KLMs dime.
