Hey Anti work, am I crazy? Or is a manager supposed to tell you when they switch your schedule around…..or at least ask. I work for a boomer manager that hand writes the schedule and tucks it away in a small binder in a cupboard. So every time she does it, I take a photo with my phone so I have easy access to it. Well apparently 4 days later she extended one of my shifts without asking or at the VERY least notifying me through text, so I scheduled my life according to the original times. It isn't until the night before (2 weeks later)that I find out she made the change, for a reason being another co worker can't work that day. I told her no because I had something planned. If I was informed when the change happened then a different arrangement could have been made and she made me out to be the one at fault. She said I should open the binder daily, and then message her if I don't agree with any shift changes, but ITS LITERALLY HER JOB to contact employees, asking about shift extensions or at least I think that's the norm. She even said we were allowed to take photos of the schedule!!
She is the type of manager to always inconvenience others instead of coming in to cover…..ISNT THAT HER JOB?
Basically she tried to fault me for her fuck up.
Thoughts?
