I hate work I don't know if I'm just lazy or what but I hate it, so when I sprained my toe I thought “Hey I can get a weekend off hell yeah”, but to my shock I got fired for calling in after. Collected my last paycheck (after being escorted by security) and I got a letter in the mail saying I'm banned from the place and they'll be withholding my check until I return my uniform but again I'm banned so that can't happen. I know you can't withhold a check under the FLSA but it's a casino on an indigenous reserve and they're sovereign can I even do anything? I thought I read that businesses on reserves are still subject to federal labor laws. In New York state if that helps.
