Just to summarize all the bullshit:
I got hired on at a non profit and within 3 weeks realized I needed to listen to all the red flags I was getting and decided to resign. I should've been paid for a little over 70 hours of work but my last check only had 8 hours on it. It's now been 7 days and they still haven't paid me what they owe me. I've had so much back and forth now with HR.
My checking account is negative and I still have to wait for my new job to start. They say they ended up mailing what they owe me even when I specifically said it needed to be direct deposit (how I had received my first check and the hours they did pay me for) because the mail has been wack lately. I have no proof they mailed it either. What can I do?
