So I’ve been working at my job for about 9 months now. I was told yesterday I was getting laid off because my position will be obsolete.
My employers said they’d give me letters of recommendation, as well as a letter for unemployment. They also gave me a months heads up. The issue is, they didn’t give me a set date that’d I’d be out of a job.
I’m grateful they gave me a heads up so I can get my shit together, but the no date thing is throwing me off? Can they do that? Should I quit? I’ve never been fired/laid off before, and I don’t know how this works.
