Left a “Content Writing” Job to go back to my old one.

Not American/in America. Month & half ago, got hired for a content writing position, firstly turned out that 1) none of the content was for actual people to read. It was just to spread awareness. 2) That we didn't even really write it, we “curated” stuff and retranslated it and packed it with keywords to promote searchability. Kind of murky stuff if I am being honest. During one of the meetings a co-worker gave a presentation and outright said, that Google aims to have a natural searchability for items and that our process actively tries to go against that in promotion of the websites we do for our clients. Things that aren't relevant and are meant to sell more stuff. Anyway, I made up my mind earlier this week, and wrote yesterday. Anyway, I made up my mind earlier this week, and wrote yesterday. They asked me if I could work in August since, they would need to find a replacement. I said no. They would have preferred if I gave a whole month notice. I didn't even sign a contract for this work, since its a foreign company. Of course not, what were they thinking. Hence I stopped actually doing anything, just got my first and last paycheck there. Glad I left.

Then I got called rude for responding messages late, although I was on my break, in a class at uni. Called unprofessional for leaving at such a short notice and unprofessional again today for essentially not working after declaring that I will leave. I have no response to that. It's just kind of bizzare. They hope I learned something. And I did, to pick something you truly like doing and get paid more. I will essentially go back to my old job, which, when I was leaving was nice enough to offer me a “cushion” instead of leaving they gave me an extended vacation during which I can tell them if I wish to continue or leave. They also technically pay more, now that the economy is a little bit more stable. I originally left that place since the exchange rates for the currencies was very unfavorable and I wanted to try something new and I had a lot of difficulty getting hired as I am still in college and my knowledge of the local language is not enough to be employed in most places locally. Which sucks. But thankfully I'll be telling my old employer that very soon. It was also a much more independent job with much less managerial nosiness, and something I am much more motivated to do.
