I left my job almost a month ago because the owner was a total pshyo, and the manager also was nuts. I was thinking of just walking away multiple times because I couldn't handle the manager – he was shitting on me all the time, at the end we had a lot of work and a lot of overtime, I just worked very fast and then he didn't seem to shit on me but I knew I wouldn't be able to work like that all the time. Of course it was my fault showing how fast I can work but I don't care about it anymore. Anyways the manager was nothing compared to the owner. He's literally a pshyopath, I get sick whenever I think about him now. I worked at die-cutting machine and one time about 2 months in when I just started to understand how to work he comes and tells me I'm making too much of stickers that go to waste and threatens me to pay me in those stickers. I thought he was joking perhaps even though he was all serious. Anyways I try not to interact with him, try to be nice. Now it's us working overtime on Sunday and he comes and calls us morons because there was some water on the floor and we should have called about it, that was basically the final straw, fucking coming to people with minimum wage on Sunday and calling them morons, ok I'll show you a moron. I worked until the end and went to him said I'm leaving, he's like – you can't leave like this it's illegal, immediately brings up touchscreen of the machine which I accidentally broke, tells me he'll make me pay for it, which he only now decided, starts telling me that I can't control my anger and so I broke the monitor, tells me normal people wait 30 days before leaving, I said normal people in normal environment, then he says how is this not normal environment was working in fish shop better(it definitely was better), anyways I just leave I'm done with his bullshit, I had to write a document that I destroyed the monitor of course he doesn't give me my salary, but to be honest I'm not alright mentally to deal with legal stuff so I just don't want to hear or see that pshyo again. There were many more little things he and the manager did. Moral of the story – leave as soon as you notice red flags, prioritize your mental health above everything, never be “nice” when it comes to work.
