It actually worked. I quit my job in March after a horrible 3 years working for my manager who consistently spoke down to me, asked if I was making up holidays to take off work (I’m Jewish), and constantly reminded me that I was replaceable. In his words, “we need a next man up mentality”
We’ll today, I signed my offer letter for almost double what my base salary was at prior company.
My wife recommended that I send my former manager a thank you note. Thoughts?
Prior to my resignation, my company offered me a 2% cost of living increase.
