Left my social work job 4 months ago. They just posted my position, offering over $20,000 more than I was making.

They didn't add any duties or change the job description. I worked there for over 14 years, working my way up from an internship to a leadership position, and was instrumental in creating and standardizing my program. I left on good terms, but due to extreme burnout. Someone in the social work reddit suggested I cross post this here. This is why we need to change jobs every couple of years to keep our wages up with inflation. And also we need to feel zero loyalty to our workplaces. They're saving money on you and all your commitment and good work means nothing to them. They'll intentionally under pay you for as long as possible.
