I'm a shift lead at a retail store/pharmacy who's made to exclusively work closing shifts (when I have open availability). I keep being left alone during my shifts despite being uncomfortable with it. Before it was because they hired a teen to be my cashier, who frequently called out, until he walked out mid shift one day because I warned him boss wanted a chat about his frequent call outs. Now I'm alone because cooperate told my boss they won't give her more hours to get a second evening cashier and that, “this is what I signed up for”. Assistant manager got his hours cut a couple weeks ago 'cause he stayed with me during 2 shifts I was supposed to be alone.
Recently, acouple of the stores down the street were robbed. Loss prevention has also been sending a lot of emails warning about people robbing other locations of ours in the area. Yet I'm still here, by myself, without even anyone in the pharmacy (they close at 5 on the weekends). I'm a 5 foot tall woman. Why would they think its ok to leave me here alone? At least after pharmacy closes the store becomes pretty dead. I'm so bored right now.
