Let’s Unionize McDonald’s!

I only started at McDonald's 2 weeks ago and it already pisses me off. I quit a job in an engineering related field because they had unreasonable expectations of my performance as an apprentice after abandoning me during covid. I could build CAD models, but my bosses at mcdonald's don't even think I can mop the floor right. The district manager told me on my first week to “sing a song” to myself while I mop “1…2..3” so I don't forget how to count to 3 on mop strokes. It's so fucking degrading. On top of that they're overstaffed and cutting people's hours and they are still hiring more people. Also they don't have any ppe for cleaning the hot grill and I got a 3rd degree durn from hamburger grease on my hand. To note one more thing they've threatened to clock me out if I take more than…

On top of that they're overstaffed and cutting people's hours and they are still hiring more people. Also they don't have any ppe for cleaning the hot grill and I got a 3rd degree durn from hamburger grease on my hand. To note one more thing they've threatened to clock me out if I take more than 10 minutes in the bathroom. They are literally trying to tell me just to hold it and hope I don't shit on the floor. I'm so fucking sick of being taken advantage of by shitty companies for $12.50 an hour. That is not a living wage at all. My dad made $11 and hour at his first job in 1983. That was 39 years ago and the minimum wage has barely moved up while inflation has continually skyrocketed. This shit needs to end. I can't think of any better way to set the standard than to unionize McDonald's, but I don't know a goddamn thing about how to begin that process. If anyone knows anything please give me the sauce. Thanks for coming to my ted talk
