Hello all,
I'm fairly active in here and want to actually start activism to improve workers rights and pay in the UK.
Our government is a farce; it does not serve the people. No political party does. There is no representation of the working classes, even from parties that proclaim such.
Our country is at a desperate point; regardless of your political leaning or ideology, the simple fact is that many if not most of us are in for a pretty shit couple of years – especially with the rise of fuel costs, impeding levels of inflation, and total lack of government empathy.
Does anyone know of any non-partisan/cross party grassroots movements who are specifically aimed at tackling the inequality of wages rates and working conditions?
If not, why don't we form one? Individually we are slowly chipping away. But the wall is tall and the people behind it have the resources to put up bricks quicker than individuals can take them down.
I know there are some major players who supposedly are to be in favour of workers – but most of these are staffed by people who have no experience of the working class, or have become the very least they proclaimed themselves to be fighting. I trust the people on here a lot more than those entities.
Right now I doubt you'd find a lack of people who'd be willing to ally with our cause; but we need to start moving this from Reddit and on to the doorsteps.
Anyone interested? My recent two weeks of unemployment has really given me the time and energy to rejuvenate my spite boner for the top and my spirit has been broken. Unfortunately my spirit was replaced by something that's tired of living under this clown world facade we have.
