Looking to put members of this sub to WORK!

Don’t worry it’s not the work that makes you morph into a corporate tool… I’m talking about activism! I’d like to start a discussion to see how we can get real change to occur. There are over 2M subscribers to this sub, if we can get 10% of users actively contributing towards a common goal we can achieve a goal big or small Here’s some basic ideas I have to initiate some sort of change in the work-to-live society we all despise but are forced to participate in: Allow polls as posts in the sub. It might help us find common ground. I’m making a bulleted list of work reform points in the notes app. I will share it as a comment on this post. PLEASE add anything you think is a good idea that I haven’t written down yet. What famous people-celebrities, music artists, politicians can we get to…

Here’s some basic ideas I have to initiate some sort of change in the work-to-live society we all despise but are forced to participate in:

  1. Allow polls as posts in the sub. It might help us find common ground.

  2. I’m making a bulleted list of work reform points in the notes app. I will share it as a comment on this post. PLEASE add anything you think is a good idea that I haven’t written down yet.

  3. What famous people-celebrities, music artists, politicians can we get to publicly endorse the anti-work movement? At least in a work reform sense…

  4. Job search resource threads. Maybe we can make a megathread about resources for finding lines of work with like-minded people. Professional and non-professional jobs! It can help with the great resignation process.

  5. We need some kind of financial literacy threads as well. Something that can be used as a step by step guide on quitting your shit job and having enough money or other resources in place to make it feasible.

  6. Communal living threads Some of us outright want to return to monke and that is totally understandable. If there is anyone who considers this way of life, let’s discuss how it can be done.

  7. Physical organizing threads What can we do to meet and demand change? A lot of us live near major cities, maybe we can make our voices heard by those ignoring us.

First we have to refine what we want and articulate it well. Things like legislature-backed WFH, 4-6 hour workday, 20-30 hour full time work week standard, country wide siestas, psychology-backed work reform, social safety nets, healthcare not being related to employment, etc.

Just trying to take initiative and get the ball rolling on some sort of change so we get to enjoy our years instead of wasting them waiting for change
