This isn't that revolutionary, but lunch breaks should be paid.
I recently calculated my “real wage” by taking into account all the unpaid time I spend before/after the workday related to my job. I.e. things like commuting that I would not be doing otherwise. It was depressing! Anyway, I realized that 30 min of that time is during the workday: my lunch break. Yes, I'm technically not physically working during that time – but it's not like I get to go home or anything. I'm just sitting in the parking lot, yards away from the office, eating a cold lunch in my car.
You would think a worker receiving enough sustenance to finish the work day benefits the company too.
(Also, this applies to breaks too. I just work in a setting where non-lunch breaks are legally protected but not enforced/the norm.)
