I write this sitting my cubicle, an entire side of my face swollen, unable to talk, unable to go home. Please forgive my crazy ramble.
I went to the walkin yesterday due to dental pain. Abscessed tooth. Antibiotics are on board, but I've not slept in two days and the swelling is immense. I work in marketing, and my job consists of making phone calls and talking to over 100 companies a day. Don't worry, I'm not calling about your car warrenty.
They won't let me go home. I have 4 hours of PTO, but because it won't cover the entire day, i can't leave.
I'm also awaiting a background check on another job, so part of me just wants to leave.
Dental care is important. It's just as much Healthcare as anything else. I'm sad people struggle so much in this country (USA) with dental care.
