Made my coworkers aware we were entitled to more vacation pay and got sent home for attitude issues

So yeah, I work in a call center in Denmark, selling internet, TV and Cell subscriptions where roughly half of my salary comes from commission. I make around 40,000 DKK a month ~ 5,900$, which is definitely decent considering I’m early twenties and no education, other than high school. Been here for around 8 months, I’m one of the top performers in both number of sales, and customer satisfaction (tNPS of 63 over 7 months to those of you who know what that means) Anyway, in Denmark, we’re have a “Vacationlaw” entitling employees to 5 weeks of fully paid vacation. During vacation time, the company I work for only pay us our base salary 19,500 DKK ~ 2900$, (and no compensation for the commission we miss out on making due to being on vacation) Then I discovered a ruling from one of Denmarks courts where a very similar situation, just…

Anyway, in Denmark, we’re have a “Vacationlaw” entitling employees to 5 weeks of fully paid vacation. During vacation time, the company I work for only pay us our base salary 19,500 DKK ~ 2900$, (and no compensation for the commission we miss out on making due to being on vacation)

Then I discovered a ruling from one of Denmarks courts where a very similar situation, just in the car industry, ruled that employers have to pay for the lost compensation due to being away on vacation or being sick.

Made a lot of my coworkers aware that there had been this ruling and that we have a potential case, for getting a fully paid 5 weeks instead of a half paid 5 weeks (which currently mean many can’t even afford to take their vacation, as the half wage won’t pay the bills). Everyone was obviously excited about the possibility, especially as the ruling ordered employers to do it with retroactive effect. Meaning some colleagues had 10.000$+ to gain.

Of course the company knew about the ruling and was just betting that nobody would speak up or do anything, as it would cost them millions, as we are 80-90 people in my department, and there’s thousands company wide.

This ended up with my boss calling me (not even come in person) and tell me to pack up my shit and leave for the day and take the weekend to think about wether or not I wanna work there. When I asked why, my boss told me there had been some attitude issues over the past couple days. Asked him to clarify and just said he wouldn’t go into further detail and that the conversation will be continued on Monday – Where I’m guessing I’ll most likely be fired :))

He hadn’t been to work for two days, and none of the other bosses had been either, so I’m interested in how he even knew

Wrote an email to HR and signed up for a union earlier today, as I could feel something was coming.

Gonna be interesting what will happen Monday, I’ll keep it updated – sorry for my English if there’s any mistakes

Oh yeah, and my boss also asked two employees to come in even though they called in sick. One had lower abdomen pain and could barely walk, his response was “Good thing we’re sitting down when we’re dialing” – had an awesome boss for the first 7 months and when he left, one of my colleagues got promoted, and he’s been power tripping so bad and micromanaging every fucking thing for this month he’s been boss, and everybody in my team is sick and tired and ready to quit
