Company I work for, which is a major online e-commerce platform. Announcing that it's outsourcing jobs to Philippines.
This will impact so many great people who work and helped this company grow.
It's upsetting to see this company do this. Workers won't be fired, but moved onto different roles. They waited until after a company wide employee happiness survey was over to announce this change.
It's going to be interesting to see how they handle this transition, but I worry people will be uprooted.
I'd like to give them the opportunity to see how they handle this. Usually, outsourcing jobs isn't a good sign though.
