Making less than coworker

Hey all. I’m looking for some advice. I started a PT job in April (some weeks I was scheduled nearly 40 hours). The duties vary as it’s a flex position. Essentially there’s two positions I hold. Which one I work depends on the employer’s needs. I make the same hourly for both positions. I just found out one of my coworkers makes $2 more per hour in the one position, but $2 less in the other position. They’re older and aren’t as capable as me to perform job duties. That doesn’t bother me though. I’m down to be a team player and help my fellow part timers. At this point, I mostly work the position which my coworker is making more than me. I want to ask for the additional $2 per hour. Any advice on how I should approach my employer? Is it even worth asking for more money?…

Is it even worth asking for more money? Since I started, I’ve been looking for other jobs.

There are plenty of red flags about this place. One example is when I interviewed/was hired, they tried to leave the room without mentioning my pay. I had to stop them as they were walking out the door. I didn’t want to be the one to bring up pay first, because I didn’t want to come off like it’s all about the money (which obviously it is).

Any insights is greatly appreciated.
