Manager demanding note from Doctor (which she is not entitled to).

So I was supposed to work at my part-time retail job this morning but I was really sick and decided I should probably go to the ER (chest pain, vomiting). So I call the store first thing this morning, and my manager replies “oh… God. Well can you get me a doctors note please?” To which I reply sure, no problem. She hangs up the phone. The kicker here is that it's my first time ever calling in sick at this job, it's for one day, and I'm not even getting paid for said sick day. I went to the hospital anyway so getting a note was no problem, but I know for a fact that she does not ask for a doctors note from anyone else just for one day. Maybe they were short staffed already, or she was stressed out, but I feel like the “get me a doctors note” comment was to either scare me or to get me to come in.

If anyone has any advice on how to stand up to her tomorrow and let her know that I know the labour laws, that would be great!!
