Manager is trying to make me work when I’m positive with COVID

Just this week I tested positive for COVID and it hit me pretty hard. I only work weekends because of school so Saturday through Monday is my normal schedule. I called my manager to tell him what’s up the other day and how I won’t be able to work this weekend, not just because I’m sick but also doctor’s orders, I have to quarantine for a specific amount of time. He then tries to guilt trip me into coming in because he has no one to cover me and to just lie because “the doctor will never know you came.” I then say that it’s not just mild symptoms that I can deal with it’s pretty bad and I most likely won’t be able to work. He responds by telling me to call everyone to see if they’ll take my shifts and if I can’t then I’m shit out of…

Just this week I tested positive for COVID and it hit me pretty hard. I only work weekends because of school so Saturday through Monday is my normal schedule. He responds by telling me to call everyone to see if they’ll take my shifts and if I can’t then I’m shit out of luck. He also tells me that if I don’t have sick days I won’t get paid for the days off. Ive been working at this store for almost 2 years and never call out and never have people cover my shift so I don’t know why he’s being like this.

While this is mainly a rant, I’m wondering if there is anything I can do about this? Can I just call out and if he tries to say I have to come in just not go? And also is it true that companies no longer have to provide paid sick leave for employees sick with COVID?
