I texted my manager two days ago asking him to reduce my hours, since I've been very stressed trying to juggle school and work (im 19, first year at college). however I haven't heard anything back from him. one of my coworkers had texted him and he replied back immediately, so he's definitely ignoring me. he has been known to be petty and ignore people when he's upset, like recently another one of my co-workers mentioned she was planning on leave (due to family problems) and the entire shift he did not acknowledge her.
what should I say when I come in today for my shift and see him? im scared he won't even bring it up and ignore me the entire time im there. what if he tells me it's not possible or begs me to reconsider? we're very understaffed so he does need all the help he can get.
idk, im just very annoyed and worried. its my first job ever so idk how to go about it. I'll appreciate any advice I get.
