Manager told me to use the blossoming war as a conversation starter with clients

I’ve been feeling super burnt out lately, but this is the straw that broke the camels back. Amidst everything going on today I got a ping from my manager telling me to leverage the current Ukraine and Russia situation as a conversation starter to pitch our products to our clients. What the actual fuck, in what world is that considered even remotely okay, especially right now? EDIT: I work in finance
