Now personally I feel no one should have to work more than 5 days in a row without at least 1 day off, especially if you have to work mornings and you're not a morning person. That day off is spent catching up on all the missed sleeping hours.
So I'm chatting with my manager one day and she's complaining about how the district manager expects her to work 7 days a week and I'm like no one should ever have to work more than 5 days in a row, or 40 hours max a week, unless they do it purposely for themselves. And she's like yes you get it, you understand my pain. But she always get Sundays off so like she works 6 days in a row and I felt for her.
I have always been scheduled with monday and tuesday off, and went into work this sunday (my 5th day of work) and was like finally my friday, i can relax after this. Got my schedule and saw I was working 4am-11:30am both monday and tuesday.
Like what? Was the conversation we had before just like meaningless? We had just had this conversation literally this week too.
I was upset and texted her, like hey do you know you have me scheduled 7 days in a row, and she was like, “Sorry, I never look at it that way. I just schedule and make it work best for everyone.”
It's obvious she really just cares about herself, and I thought she was like friendly, but I think I made a mistake in trying to be her friend because she's probably just going to take advantage of it so she can do stuff like this.
I want to quit so bad and just find another job but I'm so limited from this felony I have from 7 years ago for opening someone's garage that it's very difficult to find places that will hire me
TLDR Manager is a hypocrite, complaining about needing to work more than 6 days a row and schedules me for 7
