managers reacting badly to you quitting

Just wanted to start a thread for funny/stupid stories of managers reacting to you quitting. I'll start, was working at this Dollar General in a super small town in Illinois, while I lived there to help my grandfather who was really old and suffering long term effects of diabetes. It sucked but family yea know? I had a pretty good relationship with the store manager and was on track to be a shift lead when the store manager when on medical leave and the asm took over. Long story short she has me go through the entire training for shift lead only to back out at the last second explains she never actually got permission to promote me because the SM was returning from her medical leave and the store has a limit of key holders: basic associates. Obviously I'm annoyed but at the same time, fuck it, it's dollar…

Obviously I'm annoyed but at the same time, fuck it, it's dollar general right? Fast forward awhile and the SM manages to make it so I can keep the pay raise just not get the promotion. By this point though they have already promoted and hired other people and I don't even care anymore cause I'm doing shifts just to not be at home (grandfather is your standard mean old racists homophobic badstard so homes not great) so when the ASM starts waving that promotion in my face to take on more work again and implying that I can do shift lead stuff cause I'm already trained for it I hit fuck it and give notice.

Fast forward and I'm gone and moved out of state back home, about 4 days have passed and the ASM calls me to yell at me that I need to come in and work because the guy they hired to replace me had to leave early! I laugh and tell her I'm not even in her state and she turns around and tells me “figure it out” I say “sounds like a you problem ” and hangup.

So what's your funny post quitting manager contact story ?
