Massachusetts restaurant manager is cutting hours

Hi I'm new to Massachusetts so I don't know the labor laws too well. My manager sends people home when it's “dead” or not busy. She gives zero notice and will not ask if you want to leave, she will just tell you to go. Do I have any legal recourse? Is she breaking any laws by doing this?
