I was given a detailed job offer 3 weeks ago in writing. I accepted, met with my hiring manager, and was given today as my start date…When I went in for my shift today, the hiring manager told me that the job offer had been rescinded without explanation, and that “Oops, someone should have contacted you”.
I turned down multiple other job offers, bought new work clothes, and waited 3 weeks for my start date…I don’t know how I’m going to make rent now or pay for groceries.
I guess I’m going back to my old line of work. I was desperate for a break from physical labor because I have a pretty sever neck injury and I’m in pain non-stop. But what-the-fuck ever, I guess. 🤷️
